*8/5/2020 Regions/Sections must follow the MBA guidelines for the state tournament, meaning a maximum of 250 fans, COVID checklist and the COVID preparedness plan and the governor's directive on social distancing.
Starting July 18 the MBA will be following the state guidelines regarding COVID-19 testing requirements. Therefore persons testing positive will be required to quarantine for 10 days following their test result. They must not have a fever for 24 hours and must be feeling well before they can return to play. All teams having a player test positive must contact secretary Nagel immediately and monitor the rest of their team for symptoms using the COVID checklist.
Other players who need to be quarantined are based on the following:
*They have been within 6 feet of another positive player for 15 minutes or more. If they have hugged or directly coughed or sneezed on by that player must quarantine for 14 days.
-All positive test results of players, coaches, workers and umpires must be emailed to the MBA the day they test positive.
The only test accepted by the MBA will be a nasal swab test - no blood tests will be accepted.

The MBA Board of Directors will meet Monday to determine details for the 2020 state tournament. The MBA will hold a 2020 state tournament. All teams and managers will be emailed notification of the 2020 state tournament plans following Monday's meeting.
*6/30/2020 The self-check form has been updated. Teams should have a form in each dugout, the home team will collect forms. Players, coaches, umpires and workers need to sign it. Fans are encouraged to sign it. Forms will be available at gates or a manager will designate someone to collect fan signatures. Those who sign the form need to wash their hands before signing it. Teams should hang on to the forms for two weeks.
Have the P/A announcer come down during ground rules so he knows how things are going to happen during the game as far as social distancing, and after the anthem keep all players on the baselines while the announcer reads the following: We are happy to be able to play baseball again and to host games during this pandemic. However we need to follow strict rules regarding social distancing and respecting others in the stadium. If they are not followed we have been instructed to stop the game and remind people to please respect our social distancing requirements. Also have the P/A announcer read the same directive after the 3rd and 6th inning. Overall, the MBA board is extremely proud of how well everyone is working hard to keep everyone safe and our parks open.
All teams must follow the MBA COVID-19 preparedness plan which is available for download here. These guidelines MUST be posted in the dugout and at the entrances.
Self-check forms must be offered at the gate to all people entering the park and are available for download here. Teams are advised to fill out check out forms before heading to the park to save time and paper.
Any questions regarding this process should be emailed to Gary Schleper at email@example.com
